Sometimes you just want to have a bit of fun…

Botero’s CAT, everyone’s best friend, is not the most famous sight in Barcelona. That honor would go to Antoni Gaudi’s well-marketed La Sagrada Familia Church. With its spikey towers and dripping concrete facades, its stupendous size rises out of the earth like a giant ornate pin cushion and draws millions of tourists each year.

In fact, Barcelona is chock full of wonderful sights and not one of them is a fake Eiffel Tower nor a cheesy Madame Tussaud’s Museum of Demonic Wax Figures. (They all look demonic, believe me, even Mother Theresa.) The Plaza Catalunya has a glorious lighted fountain. The Gothic Cathedral has a history back to the Conquistadores of M…
